Bigcommerce is excited to announce our partnership with Twitter to enable Twitter Buy Now for Bigcommerce stores. Here’s how it works:
- Merchants can choose to include Buy Now CTAs on regular and Promoted Tweets, which allow followers to purchase a single product directly from the Twitter timeline.
- When a customer purchases via Twitter for the first time, their payment information and shipping information is saved so they can buy and confirm with two clicks for future purchasing.
- Orders made on Twitter will come back to the Bigcommerce control panel for standard order processing.
Twitter’s Buy Now allows brands to offer in-the-moment purchasing experiences for repeat and net new customers without leaving the Twitter platform. For retailers, this increases product discoverability, offers improved ROI for social media efforts and increases brand awareness among Twitter’s 316 million monthly active users.

Analysis of Twitter data reveals that customers are using the platform throughout the purchasing funnel:
- 67% use Twitter to learn about new products
- 54% use Twitter while shopping in in-store
- 64% purchased a product because of Twitter
Up to this point, most brands have been unable to serve immediate click-to-purchase opportunities to those customers without forcing them to redirect to another site. Now, Bigcommerce merchants can collapse the purchasing funnel, offering in-the-moment buying experiences right when and where potential customers are considering them.

Twitter Buy Now will be available in both promoted and organic Tweets. Promoted Tweets will have full functional use of Twitter’s robust targeting capabilities, including niche targeting options surrounding interest, searched for, keyword tweeted, gender, geography, look-alike, website visited and device used.

- Lives in a Tweet: organically distribute or promote to get more reach.
- In-the-moment purchase: Minimal friction (no separate merchant log-in). Payment and shipping info stored by Twitter to enable instant purchases.
