So far we’ve shown you tiny homes, earth homes, tree houses and even homes of the future! But what about high rise homes?
A hundred years ago, skyscraper and high rise homes were thought to be extremely futuristic, but now they’re a skyline mainstay in big cities all over the world. And a real estate mainstay in bustling towns where there’s no place to go but up.
Our friends at Point2 Homes recently took a look at high rise construction in Montreal over the last six years. Their awesome team created amazing “sliding” images, so we can compare the Montreal of 2007 to 2013. Take a peek below!
In downtown Montreal
The Louis Boheme Condominiums were completed in 2010. At 28 stories tall, how many homes do you think are stacked inside?
In the Verdun borough of Montreal
These twin towers are 94 meters tall and have 25 floors above ground and 2 below, providing homes to residents of Ile des Soeurs since 2009. If there’s one thing we like about tall buildings, it’s the view!
